Everyone gets down sometimes. Unfortunately, many people have a difficult time bouncing back.  A person who is unwell, either physically or mentally, is typically stuck in a chronic state of “fight or flight” mode, also known as the Sympathetic Nervous Response. The body perceives itself to be in immediate danger and prioritizes basic survival functions over restful functions such as sleep, digestion, healing, etc. This can lead to chronic anxiety, insomnia, pain, inflammation and depression. Whether depression stems from a traumatic experience, stress, physical/chemical imbalance, etc.; hyperbaric therapy has been shown time and time again to help patients recover from chronic depression.
